Johnny Fixico passed away on February 12, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Johnny was born November 7, 1953 at home in Spaulding, Oklahoma to Robert Fixico Sr. and Mamie Thompson-Fixico.
Johnny graduated from Holdenville High School in 1972, where he helped win their last state baseball championship title in 1971. He was also an avid sports fanatic. He was a full-blood Seminole/Creek and an enrolled member of the Seminole Tribe of Oklahoma. He was an active member at his ceremonial grounds New Tulsa. As a small boy, Johnny developed the love for Indian stickball and he would play stickball anywhere he could but he especially loved to play at Seminole nation days and his ceremonial grounds New Tulsa.
Johnny is precedeed in death by grandmother Lillie King Thompson and parents Robert "Esparcher" Fixico Sr ", Mamie Thompson and granddaughter Alicia Fixico. Johnny leaves behind three children Jason Fixico of Moore, Oklahoma, Jennifer Fixico of Moore, Oklahoma and Emily Fixico of Henryetta, Oklahoma. Five grandchildren Seneca Fixico, Paizley Fixico, Pj Fixico, and Sky Fixico all of Moore, Oklahoma and Cheyenne Irvin of Wewoka, Oklahoma. One daughter in law Kelly Fixico of Moore, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind one brother Robert "Watie" Fixico of Holdenville, Oklahoma and five sisters Elizabeth "Lizzie" Meely of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Susie Wind of Okemah, Oklahoma, Anna Fixico Cully of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeanette Fixico of Holdenville, Oklahoma, and Delois Raulston of Dale, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind nephews Raymond"Mikko" Meely, Preston Meely, Arnold Meely, Robert "Chebon" Cully, Travis Wind, Robby Fixico, William "Hvtke" Fixico, Russell Wind, Deymus "Alex" Tainpeah, Martin Wind, and the Mack boys of Cromwell, Oklahoma. He is also leaves two neices Brookie Beasley and Candice Tainpeah and one brother in law Allen Wind and many many cousins.
Johnny was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend and he will be missed.
The Wake service for Johnny will be at 6:00 Pm Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Middle Creek Church. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Middle Creek Church. Funeral Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville, Oklahoma.
