Ellen Mildred Cleaver passed away Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 at the age of 81 in Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services will be Saturday March 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church Wewoka under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Ellen was February 21, 1928 to Frederick Franklin and Tillie Marie(Anderson) Young. She married J.B. "Jake" Cleaver December 22, 1950 in Ponca City, OK. Ellen graduated from Central State College in Edmond, OK. Ellen retired from Ardmore High School where she was a school teacher for many years.

Surviving Ellen is husband J.B. "Jake" Cleaver, son Dr. James Frederick and Wife Joanie Cleaver of OKC and daughter Kay Lynn and Husband Greg Arbuckle of Wewoka. She has three grandsons; James and wife Jennifer Cleaver, Jeff Cleaver and John Cleaver and three granddaughters; Janey Ellen Cleaver, Kaycie Arbuckle-Baxley and SSgt. Jonathon Baxley, and Amanda Arbuckle-Cellars and Terry Cellars. along with two great-grandchildren, brother Calving Young of Ponca City, OK. and sister Bonnie Young-Fowler of Lakeland, Fl. a host of other relatives and
friends.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents along with brothers Tracy and Frank Young and a sister Marie Young-Shriver.

Ellen enjoyed many years of singing in church choirs. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her beloved family.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and the American Alzheimer's Association in the name of Ellen and her family.
