Services for Joe Wallace Bruner, Jr., age 46, former Lamar resident, are as follows: Procession to Middle Creek #1, at Lamar, will begin at 4:00 pm, on Wednesday, October 22 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Wake services begin at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, in Lamar.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Middle Creek #1 Baptist Church with Reverend Joe Wallace Bruner, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Bruner Family Cemetery in Lamar under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Joe passed away in Prague on Friday, October 17, 2008.

Joe Wallace Jr. was born November 13, 1961 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Joe W. Sr. and Nancy (Beaver) Bruner. His mother preceded him in death. Joe Jr. was raised in Haysville, Kansas and attended Wichita State University. He lived in Shawnee and worked at Century Plastics as a machinist. Joe, Jr. loved to exercise. He was an avid hunter and fisherman but was most happy spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his father, Reverend Joe Wallace, Sr. and step-mother, Rachel, of Lamar; son, Dakota Bruner of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Debbie Little and husband, Jerry, and their son, Jeremiah, of Shawnee; brother, Douglas Bruner and wife, Kerry, and their children: Joshua Bruner, Katie Bruner, and Kiley White, all of Mulvane, Kansas. Joe, Jr. leaves numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him.
