Memorial Services for Wewoka resident Gene Warren Campbell are
scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Church of
Nazarene, Wewoka.
Mr. Campbell passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at Valley
View Hospital, Ada, OK at the age of 71 years.
Born December 30 1936, in Wewoka, OK to William and Monya
(Baughman) Campbell. He attended Wewoka Public Schools and
was self-employed as Carpenter and handyman.
Gene married Martha Stroud May 23, 1980 in Payette, Idaho.
He loved fishing , hunting, playing pool, and spending time with
his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the National Rifle
Association. He always helped any kid who need help.
Gene will be missed by his wife Martha Campbell, of Wewoka, OK,
two sons Michael Campbell of Seminole, OK, Billy Rae Campbell of
Pullayup, WA, two daughters Carlynn Campbell, of Algona, WA, and Rhonda Slaby, of Algona, WA, eight grandchildren, and two great-
grandchildren. Two sisters and four brothers, 4 step-children, and five
step-grandchildren numerous of nieces and nephews, and numerous adopted children.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed and loved
for all he did for friends, family, and his community.
