Sasakwa resident, Verna Wayne Choate passed away at his
resident Saturday, September 5, 2009 after short battle with
cancer at the age of 66 years.

Born February 26th, 1943 in Jones, Oklahoma to Bonnie Leroy
and Ruby (Mercer) Choate.

Verna Wayne and Melva Taylor were married June 10, 1991
in Taloga, Oklahoma. He worked prior to his health problems
with International Union of Operating Engineer Local #627,
Tulsa, OK as heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Choate was of the Baptist faith, and loved to fish and
travel.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and seven brothers.
Survivors included his wife, Melva, of the home; brother, Bob
Choate of Okemah, OK; sister, Nancy George of Ada, OK;
step-daughters, Sondra Gale Medley of Sasakwa, OK &
Darla Curnutte of Bellview, TX; step-sons Steve Medley
Bellview, TX and Jeffery Medley of Sunset, TX; fourteen
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
