,Wewoka resident Edna Faye Abel passed away Saturday September 20, 2008 at Herritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville. Edna Faye Abel was born on November 02 1921 in Marlow Oklahoma to Chauncey and Lettie Deulen. She married Doyle G. Abel in Wewoka, Oklahoma on December 29, 1947.
Edna received her Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree from East Central University. She was employed at Bethel School District as an Elementary Teacher before her retirement. She was an active member of the Wewoka Garden Club for many years. She was a member of the Wewoka First United Methodist Church for many years. Her hobbies included photography, painting, sewing. and playing the piano.
Edna Faye was preceded in death by her husband Doyle G. Abel, parents and a grandson Adam Abel and her brother and sisters.
Edna Faye is survived by her children Glenn and wife Debbie Abel of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Gary and wife Terri Abel of Lumberton Texas, and Daughter Gayle and husband Don Mace of Seminole Oklahoma.
Grandchildren; Matt, Michelle ,Micah Abel, Shealynn and Derek Abel, Brian Norman, Amie Orr and Jennifer Hale.
Three great grandsons, and four step great grandchildren

Pall Bearers are Matt Abel, Micah Abel, Derek Abel, Matt Hale, Justin Orr, And Brian Norman.

Honorary Pall Bearers are George Butner, and Olen Carr.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Stout Phillips Funeral Chapel with Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Wewoka Oklahoma.
