Holdenville- Funeral Services for Marvin Ray(Slugger) Briggs III of Holdenville, Oklahoma will be 11:00 am, February 16, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Interment will be at the Crossroads Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Rev. Wesley Martin.

Mr. Briggs III died Thursday, February 12th, 2009 in Allen, Oklahoma at the age of 28. He was born November 14, 1980 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Marvin Ray Briggs II and Betty Jean House Briggs.

Mr. Briggs III was a longtime resident of the surrounding area. He attended the Konawa schools. He was employed in the oilfield as a pumper and loved fishing, hunting and especially playing with his children.

Mr. Briggs III is survived by his two daughters: Kaitlynn Briggs of Holdenville, Ok., Abby Briggs of Holdenville, OK.: Mother: Betty Stuckey and her husband Billy of Madill, Oklahoma; Father: Marvin Ray Briggs II of Boley, Ok.; Three sisters: Leatesha Countryman of Allen, Oklahoma; Michelle Bastible of Tupelo, Oklahoma; Dalena Wilks of Conway, Arkansas; one grandmother: Onita House of Konawa, Oklahoma and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers: Robert R. House Sr.; Harry Douglas, Grandmother: Marie Douglas; two uncles: Robert L. House and Jerry Don House.

Pallbearers: Bryan House, Jerry Briggs, Jimmy Jordan, Zack Kinney, Jesse Cosar, Weylon Holtman.
