Obituary for Franklin Gray

Franklin Gray was born May 8, 1946 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. to, Sam Gray and China B. Davis and departed this life on Sunday February 11, 2018. He received his education at Douglas elementary and Wewoka high school.

Franklin enlisted in the US Army November 6, 1964 and served admirably 8 years. He did two tours in Viet Nam and one tour in Korea, earning the Defense Service Medal, 3 Bronze Stars, Viet Nam Ballantry Cross/W Palm, Expert Badge with Rifle Bar, Viet Nam Campaign Medal and Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged February 19, 1971.

Preceding Franklin in death are his parents and one daughter.

Survivors include three sisters Hazel Banks of Seminole, OK, Betty Alexander, and Brenda James; one brother Oscar Gray of Oklahoma City and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 15,2018 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rick Burton officiating and burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery.
