Obituary for Judy Jones

Judy Teresa Ann (Hooks) Jones, passed away on March 8, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born on December 3, 1951 in Holdenville to IJ Hooks and Bernice (Olden) Hooks. She graduated from Moss High School. Afterward, she graduated from the East Central University in Ada with a nursing degree. She worked for many years at the Holdenville Hospital where she cared for countless patients with love and grace. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist E. T. C. O. G. I. C. in Holdenville where she taught Sunday School and was over the nurse ministry. She also was a member of the Trustee Board, Church Treasurer, and choir member. Judy loved her family and enjoyed attending their family events. She loved her beautiful grandchildren and getting to spend time with them. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was an excellent cook and her deserts will be missed at church dinners.

She was preceded in death by her parents, IJ Hooks and Bernice Hooks, brothers Michael Hooks and Melvin Eugene Hooks as well as several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her son, Shawn Jones and wife Morgan of Holdenville, grandchildren Ayden, Adrian, Raylen, Brayden and Kayden, siblings Earl Hooks Sr. of Jones, Doyle (Linda) Hooks Sr. of Spencer, Belinda Travis, Wilma (John) Berry, Danny Hooks and Michelle (Wiley) Madden all of Holdenville as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00PM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Shiloh Baptist E. T. C. O. G. I. C. in Holdenville. Overseer John T. Berry will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Shiloh Church Cemetery in Holdenville. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Online condolences to the family can be made at
