Obituary for Billie Eugenia Brown

A longtime resident of Ada, OK, Billie Eugenia Brown was received into heaven on April 23, 2019, peacefully at her home.

A memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Allen Church of God in Allen, OK.

Born October 6, 1932, in Argo, TX, to Mary Mildred (Smith) and William Jefferson Vandergriff.

Billie married Robert Willis Brown on August, 29, 1952, in Sacramento, CA. This was the beginning of many years that Bob and Billie served the church as pastors. She lived her life always in service to the Lord's work. Wherever they were pastoring, Billie was an active participant as the pastor's wife, and in filling any other jobs that may need her within the church. Her work was not limited to the local church, but she also served in the Church of God of Prophecy state offices as Director of Women's Missions and Sunday School Dept.

Many years Billie worked in retail at Anthony's, Stage and Goodies. She loved working in the public format as she kept her kids and grandkids dressed and looking good and made many dear friends along the way. She had the true heart of a servant and her work showed it wherever she was. Now her work here on earth is finished and she has heard the Father say “Well done, Billie, well done”!

She is survived by her husband Bob, of the home, sons Rob Brown of Tulsa, and Robin, Mike Brown of Tuttle, OK, and wife, Julie; two sisters, Marie McDaniel of Pell City, AL, and Marilyn Harrell of Beaumont, TX. Grandchildren are Hollie McHann and husband James, Blake Brown, Spencer Brown and wife Jessica, Stephanie Claiborne, and husband Justin, Jon-Eric Brown and wife Chantae, and Taylor Brown, and wife Lorraine. Great-grandchildren are Owen, Sully, Finn and Maeve Brown; Jack, Ellie and Emma McHann; Tracien and Chloe Griffin; Parker, Nolan and Greyson Brown and Olivia Witte.

She is also survived by a wonderful extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many others she loved in abundance.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, Mission Fund, P. O. Box 374, Allen, OK 74825.
