Obituary for George Leon Horn

George "Leon" Horn age 66 passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at his resident in Wewoka, OK. He was born January 25th, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late George Houston Horn and Esther Geraldine Green. He was a graduate of Argus High School and received an Associate degree from Seminole State College. He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield for many years.

Leon was a member of Gleaners Holiness Church, Wewoka. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. He also enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and singing gospel music. He served in the US Marine Corps.

Preceding Leon in death are his parents, sister Bernice Crane, and daughter Kelly Horn.

Survivors include wife Tarry Ann Epperley of Seminole, OK, children Julie Escalera and husband Daniel of Enid, OK, Joanie Lynn Sandavol and husband Jerry of Enid, OK, John Brian Horn and wife Shelley of Allen, OK: step-children Christopher Epperley and wife Ann Marie of Wewoka, OK, Jamie Keefer and husband Troy of Holdenville, OK, Amy Tiger and husband Dan of Ada, OK;
fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother Jack Horn and wife Nancy of Seminole, sisters Ruby Todd, CA, Carol Miller of Tulsa, OK; close friend and cousins Chet Horn and Ben Horn and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honorary Pall bearers Johnathan Horn, Dakota Escalera, Joe Escalera, Alec Escalera, Kalob Epperley, Logan Tiger, Israel Tiger, and Talon Traylor.

Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Chesser officiating.
