Services for Ina Martharene (Berry) Snowden will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma.

Ina Martharene Snowden 83 of Ada passed away Saturday, November 10th, 2018 in Ada Oklahoma.

Martha was born April 2, 1935 in Leslie, Arkansas to Zeti and Oscar Berry. Early in her childhood she, her mother and 4 older siblings moved to Yampa, Colorado. There she graduated from Yampa High School. She soon married Leonard Leslie Snowden from Steamboat, Colorado. She worked several different jobs to help support the family with her husband. Some of those jobs included, telephone operator, retail store owner, administrative assistant for Energy Fuels, ranch wife, while always maintaining the job of homemaker and manager. Her hobbies and interests included her church, her family, and supporting the community she lived in. She also enjoyed playing cards, discovering old homesteads, and working with her hands, knitting, crocheting, and canning.

She is survived by her sons, William Snowden and wife Fran, of Kingwood, TX, Robert Snowden and wife Lea, of Yampa, Colorado and Chris Snowden and wife Shellye, of Ada, Oklahoma. Grandchildren, Karley and husband Carl Lupica, of Day Village, Ohio, Leslie and husband Joe Stafford, of Day Village, Ohio, Tanner Snowden of Knoxville TN. Travis and wife Sarah Jane Snowden of Toponas Colorado, Madison and husband Zachary Elkins, of Waco, TX. Macie Snowden of Edmond, OK, and 4 great grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by parents, Zeti Kelsey and Oscar Berry, Siblings , Bernita Bagby, Irma Rose Smith, Webster Berry, and Jerrel D. Berry and a grandson Tyler Snowden.

As mentioned in Proverbs chapter 31 Martha was known as a woman of noble character, bringing good not harm, providing for her family and was compassionate and gentle to all those around her.

She was fearless in the pursuit of sharing the gospel, and always opened her home to those in need. She loved and respected her husband honoring him with her words and actions. She was industrious, strong, dignified and lived each day to its fullest. She spoke with wisdom, faithful instruction and was adored by her sons. And finally her beauty came from within as a woman who truly feared the Lord.
