Obituary for Mary Lou Wells

Mary Lou Wells passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019 after a long illness.

She was born on November 23, 1932 to Perry and Allie Kelley in Phoenix, AZ. She moved to Bennington, OK when she was ten years old where she had many wonderful memories. She married her love and partner in life Jack Wells on March 17, 1950 and was married for 54 years. They had three children, Deana Wells Oxley, Galya Wells Cook, and the late Kelley Wells. She loved working outside in her flower garden and loved birds. She was a wonderful cook and was well known for her cornbread and coconut cream pies. She loved her family very much and loved being a nana to her six grandchildren; Kristin Oxley Bowman, Chris Callaway, Katie Callaway, Sari Jennings and Tisha Killian. Her great grandchildren are Addison and Brooklyn Oxley, Peytion Powell, Jax and Jenner Jennings and Brayden Boman.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Allie Thrasher Kelley, three older brothers, O. C. Kelley, Perry Kelley, and Jack Kelley, her husband Jack Wells, her son, Kelley Wells, and her grandson, Wes Oxley.

She is survived by her daughters, Deanna Wells Oxley and husband Keith Oxley of Double Oak, TX, Gayla Wells Cook and husband Mike Cook for Ada, OK.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00am at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK.
