Obituary for Maxine Madden

Maxine O. Madden passed away Sunday, September 8th, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 98.

Maxine was born August 4th, 1921 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Homer Madden and Bonnie Robinson Madden. Maxine graduated from Canute high school and later received her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma A & M. She was a teacher at Spaulding and Porter schools in Oklahoma. She is a retired United States Air Force Lt. Col. and worked in Administration in the U.S. Air Force. Maxine was the Women's Auxiliary President for the Salvation Army in San Antonio, TX and member of the service organization Zonta International. Family was foremost with Maxine and enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling, going to the opera and plays. She was a very giving person.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Homer "Boots" Madden, Glen Madden, Bland Madden, Gerald Madden, sisters; Betty Jane Madden, Mildred Madden and Bille Jean Baker, niece Debbie Harrington, nephew Greg Baker and great great niece Jessica Propst. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Women's Auxiliary of Central Oklahoma Salvation Army, 1001 N. Penn, Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
