Obituary for Shirley Ann Lee

Former Wewoka resident Shirley Ann (Thompson) Lee, departed this life on earth Saturday, December 30th, 2017 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 77 years. She was born July 9, 1940 in Wewoka, OK to the late Johnny Thompson Sr. and Fannie (Jackson) Thompson. She attended Douglas High School.

Shirley married Brit Lee in Oakland, CA in 1977 . She worked as a nurses aide for a number of years. Her hobbies were reading, bowling, and going to the casino. She loved to spend time with her family and friends along with singing in the Church Choir.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, husband, daughter Rezilla Brooks ,brothers Jennone Jones, Venny Thompson, Johnny Thompson Jr., sisters Verletta Shields and Vernita Henderson.

Survivors include daughter Regina Kemp of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren Taquesha Bell, Rashod Brooks, Jamillah Brooks and Nafeesa Brooks; great-grandchildren; Attallah Lyons, Anaesha Brooks, Amahree Brooks, and Karahn Beavers, Khaius Beavers,Reziyan Augustt and Crew Abraham, Siblings; Renae Perry of Del City, OK, Portia Thompson of Virginia, Randall Thompson of CO, Winford Thompson and wife Rhonda of Tulsa, Cheryl Brooks and husband Michael of OKC, son-in-law; Kelvin Brooks of Wewoka, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. friday January 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Michael Brooks Officiating and interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Henry Weaver, Melvin Carolina, Kevon Chandler, Dale Benjamin, Mandel Carolina and Carzell Marzett.

Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews.
