Obituary for Eddie Don Yarbrough

Eddie Don Yarbrough, 72, of Benicia, CA passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday in a local hospital. He was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma and has called Benicia his home since 1972. Eddie worked at Valero Refinery in Benicia for more than 35 years, retiring as a manager in 2003.


He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, taking trips to the family’s summer home in Clearlake, enjoying many trips to Hawaii and cruise vacations with family and friends, attending all of his grandchildren’s events, his 1966 red convertible Ford Mustang and of course rooting for the Oklahoma Sooners.


Eddie is survived by Linda, his wife of 52 years; sons Rob (Suzanne) and Todd (Nicole) Yarbrough; his brother Tom (Gail) Yarbrough; sister Betty Taylor and his grandchildren Cole, Blake, Madison & Ruby. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl Trotter, his brother-in-law Joe Taylor, and his parents Ollie & Ruby Yarbrough.


Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at 11:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Family prefers donations to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
