Obituary for Geneva Jane Crittenden

Wewoka resident Geneva Jane Crittenden, age 98 departed this life at Holdenville General Hospital Monday, February 12th, 2018 in the presence of her family. She was born January 29th, 1920 in Wewoka, OK to the late Louie Bruce Dodd and Myrtle "Myrt" Woods Dodd. She was a graduate of Wewoka high school and member of the Wewoka Free Will Baptist Church.

Geneva lived in Wewoka all her life. Geneva married Floye Crittenden October 23, 1939 in Shawnee Oklahoma. She was employed at Allen's Womens Wear, Scott's IGA, and Custom Size
Factory. She and her husband Floye owned Crittenden Insurance and Mannahoma Mobile homes for many years. Her hobbies were reading and going camping. Most importantly to Geneva was being a good mother and homemaker for her family.

Preceding Geneva in death are her parents, husband, two sisters Dorothy Scribner and Joyce Grooms.

Survivors include three children "Corky Crittenden and wife Marlene, of Wewoka, OK, Mickey Crittenden and wife Linda of Edmond, OK, Darrell Crittenden of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren Cari Crittenden, Cathy Byers, Dana Cook and husband Gregory ; eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.


Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday February 16, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
